Three Cambodian national boxers to train and compete in Thailand later this month

INTERNATIONAL: The Global Boxing Federation of Cambodia is ready to send 3 national boxers to a training camp and participate in international competitions in Thailand from March 26 to April 10 to strengthen the capacity and technique to prepare for the SEA Games in Vietnam in May 2022.

Bui Sophorn, secretary-general of the federation, said that the three candidates who will go abroad for training include players Sao Rainsy (57 kg), Touch David (60 kg), and Vy Sophors (69 kg) under the leadership of one of the coaches, Mr. Chey Nara. The training camp will last for six days from March 26-31, 2022.

After training, the three Cambodian national team players will continue to compete in the Thailand Open International Boxing Tournament 2022 in Phuket, Thailand from 1st to 10th April with the host players as well as other countries who participated in the training camp in Thailand. This was confirmed by the Secretary-General of the Federation above.

"Participating in training camps and competitions in Thailand is an important opportunity for the global boxing team to strengthen and Measuring their technical level to prepare for the 31st SEA Games 2022 in Vietnam, where Global Boxing will be held "The match will be held on May 16-22 in Bac Ninh province, Vietnam."

For this camp, training, and competition in Thailand, the Thai host sponsors air tickets, meals, and accommodation. The vice-president of the federation, KC Baneth, sponsored visas, insurance, PCR tests, and medical check-ups for participating athletes. For the 31st SEA Games, the federation plans to send eight national teams to participate, including 6 players and sports Two women.
